Softdiv PDF to Image Converter is a wizard-based application that extracts the pages of any PDF file and saves them as individual image files. The program supports all the most widely used image file formats (such as JPEG, PNG, GIF, BMP, TIFF, ICO, and TGA), and some of them allow for some format-specific customization. Its fast conversion process produces high-quality images of the pages in your PDFs.
Its three-step wizard makes this tool suitable for all types of users, allowing you to launch unlimited conversions tasks in a simple guided way. Source PDF files can be added to the conversion list either individually or by selecting an entire folder containing any number of PDF documents. The program’s batch conversion capabilities will extract all the pages of the files in the conversion list and will transform them into individual image files. You can choose between using the width and height of the source PDF file and setting a customized size. Some of the output formats supported allow for further customization – for instance, you can set the level of quality of your JPG files, and choose between grayscale or RGB color images. Regrettably, not all image file formats provide this level of flexibility.
The program’s simplicity is surely one of its main assets – however, it lacks some basic functionality that you may not expect to find in free applications, but which I believe all commercial converters should include. As an example, one misses the possibility of selecting specific pages or page ranges for conversion, or a wider range of settings. Nevertheless, one has to admit that the default output quality provided for most image file formats produces high-quality results.
